About the Role
We are currently seeking flexible and reliable Housekeeping Assistants to join us at our Myrtle Bank facility. The individuals will be self-motivated with a genuine interest and ability to make a difference in the lives of our residents, which enables individual choice and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
- Washing, ironing and folding clothes
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all infection prevention and control practices including, health and safety regulations
About You
- Demonstrated experience and a passion for working in Aged Care
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including recent booster dose)
- Experience with commercial cleaning/housekeeping
- Strong knowledge of chemical handling
- Reliable and responsible
- Able to work well without supervision
- Genuine liking of and respect for the elderly
- NDIS Clearance or willing to obtain same
