Arethusa College is an independent, co-educational school catering for students requiring an alternative to mainstream schooling. We are accredited as a Special Assistance School with located across Southeast Queensland.
We believe in providing an alternate approach to education for students where previous schooling in a mainstream setting has not been successful due to social, emotional, physical, educational, family or situational difficulties. The College provides education which is innovative and meets the needs of each student, some of whom have learning difficulties and disabilities.

The Role
We are seeking a part time hardworking and enthusiastic cleaner for our Caboolture Campus. The role will be 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. The position reports to the cleaning supervisor working collaboratively and effectively with staff across the Campus.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing a range of cleaning services across the campus including, but not limited to dusting, sweeping vacuuming, mopping, moving and lifting equipment, cleaning ceiling vents and fans, restroom cleaning, glass and window cleaning and restocking dispensers etc.
- Maintaining a professionally presented and safe environment
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
- Reporting and recording any maintenance issues
To be considered for this position you will be required to demonstrate:
- Cert III in Asset Maintenance – Cleaning Services (desirable)
- Training in the safe use, proper storage and disposal methods of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Experience working in a school environment
- High attention to detail
- Initiative and be proactive on a daily basis
- Self-motivated and ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Ability to use heavy cleaning equipment
- Be physical fit and do repetitive lifting, pulling, bending, pushing and walking
About you
- Ideally 2 -3 years cleaning experience within a school environment
- Open Drivers Licence
- Hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
