SA Spine and Health is seeking a part-time or casual Medical Receptionist to join our team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare professionals.

What you’ll be doing

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring efficient flow and minimal waiting times
  • Handle patient inquiries, both in person and over the phone, and provide accurate information
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical files
  • Assist with the processing of patient payments and insurance claims
  • Provide support to the clinical team as needed, such as coordinating patient flow and managing patient records
  • Ensure the reception area is well-organised and professional in appearance
  • 20-25 hours per week over 4 days and relief cover for sick and / or holidays at both locations (South Plympton and Morphett Vale). Must be available between 7am and 6.30pm and Saturday mornings.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry highly regarded but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A team-oriented approach and a commitment to providing the highest level of patient care
