Matso’s has always been a little different, but we’re proud of that. Sometimes our remoteness has forced our hand, other times the heat has driven us to think differently about flavour and refreshment. From tropical places, with tropical heat, it takes a lot of Australian character and a great sense of humour to thrive.
Starting life as Australia’s most remote brewery at our spiritual home in Broome WA, Matso’s is now enjoyed at pubs, bars and backyards right across the country. In late December 2023 we launched Matso’s on the other side of the country in Eumundi on the beautiful and laid back Sunshine Coast.
Inspired by our original, our second home taps into the heritage of an old Queensland pub with a newly renovated building in the back, bringing a large indoor and outdoor made for the family or for a late arvo Ginger Beer on ice.
We’re looking for a versatile and energetic team member to join our front of house crew. You’ll work across all areas of the venue — from behind the bar to the floor — delivering great service and keeping things running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages including beer, wine, cocktails, and coffee
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service across bar and floor
- Run food to tables and clear efficiently to maintain a clean, welcoming space
- Operate POS systems, handle cash, and process transactions accurately
- Assist customers with TAB and Keno operations
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with RSA requirements and venue policies
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a bar or front of house role
- TAB and Keno experience (highly desired)
- Current RSA (essential)
- Great communication skills and a positive attitude
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays
