Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) is Western Australia’s premier event destination and is home to Perth’s top gala dinners and events, large scale conferences, small boardroom meetings, corporate events, exciting exhibitions, weddings and theatre performances.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to broaden their experience in the events and conventions area.
The role
The Steward/Kitchen Hand is responsible for providing attentive and efficient kitchen support and the delivery of high-quality service, whilst adhering to Company policies and procedures. The primary focus of the role is to support the kitchen operation, this includes but is not limited to:
- Clearing and cleaning of dirty crockery.
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness by utilising the appropriate equipment and chemicals in a safe, effective and efficient manner in order to achieve the highest level of health and safety standards.
To be part of this exciting opportunity you will demonstrate…
- Experience working in a professional cleaning capacity (preferred).
- Experience in a kitchen environment (is an advantage but not essential).
- The ability to work flexible hours when and where necessary which will include weekend and night work.
- A naturally energetic and flexible disposition and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A proven capacity to work well under pressure and to strict timelines.
