Position Overview
We’re offering a full-time position for a skilled Warehouse & Workshop Assembly Assistant to contribute to our exciting projects. If you’re passionate about fabrication, welding, and mechanical systems, we want to hear from you!
Roles and Responsibilities
- Fabricate precise sheet metal components using TIG and MIG welding processes (TIG not essential).
- Perform various metalwork tasks, including welding, soldering, order receiving, oxy cutting, and other workshop duties.
- Operate laser cutting equipment to fabricate components according to specifications.
- Assist with assembly tasks and other workshop duties as needed.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of fabricated components.
- Track and manage raw materials, components, and finished product inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate records related to metalwork processes, inventory, and quality control.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments; unload, unpack, and stock products in an organized manner.
- Pick up and collect orders/parcels from suppliers.
- Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, metal welding, or as a workshop assistant.
- Familiarity with techniques such as MIG and ARC welding (TIG desired but not required).
- Experience with welding equipment and power tools.
- Experience with machine operations like laser cutting and CNC is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Forklift license (desirable).
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Relevant trade workshop experience.
- Full working rights in Australia.
