About the Role
As a Shift Manager or Junior Team Member at SUBWAY Gordonvale, you’ll play an important role in delivering fresh, tasty sandwiches and excellent customer service in a fast-paced, friendly environment. This casual position involves food preparation, customer interaction, and supporting daily store operations to keep everything running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing fresh food to Subway’s quality standards
- Providing exceptional customer service, including greeting customers and taking orders
- Operating the cash register and handling money accurately
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Supervising and supporting the team (for Shift Managers)
- Managing stock rotation and assisting with inventory
- Following all food safety and hygiene requirements
What We’re Looking For
- A positive “get up and go” attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Reliability and commitment to shifts — able to commit to more than 88 days (ideal for backpackers seeking visa extensions)
- Must be local or able to reliably commute to Gordonvale
Pay & Conditions
- Casual positions covered by the Fast Food Industry Award 2020 (MA000003)
- Pay rates vary based on age, experience, and classification
- Penalty rates apply for weekends, late nights, and public holidays (QLD public holidays recognised)
- Superannuation paid in addition to base rates
Location
We’re based in Gordonvale, QLD, so applicants must be local or able to reliably travel to work.
