As a casual shop assistant/counter staff at Sa Gourmet Meats Port Adelaide, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our specialty retail store. This hands-on role will see you interacting directly with customers, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our store in a casual work environment.

What you’ll be doing

1. Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and helpful manner
2. Preparing and serving a variety of fresh meat products and other specialty food items
3. Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the store, including stocking shelves, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring a tidy appearance
4. Handling cash, processing payments, and maintaining accurate sales records
5. Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting your colleagues as needed

What we’re looking for

1. Previous experience in customer service preferred, But not essential as on the job training provided.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner
3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently
4. A keen interest in food and a desire to provide exceptional customer service
5. Flexibility to work a range of casual shifts, including some weekends
