The Malaya is a Sydney dining institution that has been serving its unique style of Southeast Asian cuisine since 1963. We’ve recently moved to a brand-new location in Grosvenor Place, and it’s an exciting time to join our team as we begin this fresh and exciting chapter in a modern and refreshed space.

As a family-run restaurant now in its third generation, The Malaya offers professional yet relaxed service, with a full wine and cocktail offering right in the heart of the city.

We are very lucky to have many long-term staff members, but we are looking for some energetic section waiters and food runners to join our team and be a part of our next chapter.

We are have a range of hours available that could suit both full-time, part-time and casual roles. We can be flexible with shifts depending on individual’s availabilities and university schedules.

We are looking for:

• Previous hospitality experience in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence carrying 3 plates
• Basic wine knowledge preferred
• A positive and engaging attitude
• A current NSW RSA certificate
