RECEPTIONIST (Part Time)  

My Kind of Vet have an opportunity for a part time receptionist based at its clinic in Ormeau – Gold Coast, a 30min drive from Gold Coast City and Brisbane, with easy access to the M1.

We are an independent, professional and comprehensive veterinary service, offering pet care in the comfort of your home as well as a clinic service with a world-class infrastructure.

Our services are delivered via our world-class fully equipped mobile Veterinary vehicles. Supporting this service is market leading, cloud based veterinary software and best practice systems, processes and procedures.

We have state of the art equipment in hospital, including Dental Equipment, X-ray, Ultrasound, In House Idexx blood machines, Multiparameter monitoring, and a Dedicated Surgery Theatre.

The Veterinary team is backed by a full team of Vet Nurses, Reception, Practice Manager, and Veterinarians.

Key Performance Areas for the position are (but not limited to) :-

• Full reception duty, working in a team,  –  answering calls, booking appointments, triaging patients, recording data and taking payments;
• Assisting the nurses and vets as and when required.

The ideal candidate will: 

• Have at least 3 years receptionist experience, preferably in a veterinarian/medical industry and/or sales environment;
• Have the ability to sell our clinic and its products, previous sales experience is advantageous;
• Be able to handle multiple phone calls with compassion and sensitivity;
• Be willing to work with people and their pets, remaining resilient under stressful conditions;
• Be vibrant and communicative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Have great attention to detail and the ability to prioritise;
• Love interactions with people and are willing to give and receive feedback;
• Have a good geographical knowledge of suburb areas within the Gold Coast region.
