We are one of NSW leading bakeries looking for experienced production assistants with experience or exposure in the following areas: bread mixing, making bread rolls, and pastry products such as croissants and danishes. You’ll be using various equipment and working with a team to make quality products.
About the role
We are currently looking for experienced production assistants with knowledge in baking production or manufacturing and food handling.
The role includes:
- operation of various baking machines and equipment – mixing machines, dough cutters, deck ovens and an automatic loader etc..
- moulding and shaping bread and pastries
- tipping finished products such as muffins or banana bread
- taking products from trays that have been cooked and placing them in boxes or crates
- slicing and bagging of various breads and bakery products such as banana bread and sourdough bread
- contribute to continuous improvement culture
- work alongside friendly team members to ensure that quality product is made
- following recipe cards to produce products
- maintain WHS, HACCP, quality and hygiene standards
Skills and experience
- An interest for baking and hand crafted bakery goods
- Have a flexible roster, up to 6 days over a week with various start times (5am to 3pm start times)
- Ability to work in a fast paced/flexible environment
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Good eye for detail
- Baking qualifications or experience is an advantage but not essential, we will provide onsite training.
