About the role:

Cater Care is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to support daily food service operations at an aged care facility in Byron Bay. This role focuses on assisting with meal service while helping create a positive, welcoming dining experience for residents.

Roster: 

• Monday, Thursday & Friday: 2:30pm – 7:00pm
• Tuesday & Wednesday: 7:00pm – 1:30pm

What this role involves:

• Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
• Customer service – serving our residents meals and snacks
• Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
• Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
• Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
• Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
• Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
