Mutkin Aged Care 

Mutkin is a Commonwealth subsidised and accredited aged care facility in Yarrabah providing residential care, home and community care and disability services to elders and disabled persons in the Yarrabah Community. Mutkin aims to provide high quality aged care services while acknowledging the cultural needs of our community and showing respect and care for our elders and disabled clients.

Candidate

We are ideally looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate the following:

• Completion of Food Safety Short Course.
• Demonstrated understanding and ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene and safety.
• Sound knowledge of and a common-sense approach to chemical handling, usage and storage.
• Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and cultures and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
• Effective time management skills including an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with limited supervision and the capacity to work as an effective team member.
