Social Event Hire is one of Melbourne’s premium event hire companies servicing some of the city’s major Events, Parties and Weddings. We have one of Australia’s largest ranges of kitchenware and styled furniture and like to think we do a pretty good job at it.

We are in need of keen individuals for an immediate start to work across our Furniture, Kitchen & Décor Departments to execute the successful hire of kitchenware and furniture to some of Melbourne’s best events.

Responsibilities of the Role.

• Packing orders, preparing décor items and linen,
• Assisting clients with collection and return of their orders from our warehouse.
• Washing dishes and cleaning cooking equipment post event, returning stock to our orderly warehouse and maintaining stock levels through our proven processes.
• Cleaning furniture post event, reporting damages and returning stock to the warehouse.
• Working in teams to load and unload trucks ready for dispatch to events.
• Preparing linen for the external laundry provider.
• Reporting losses and damages to our transport manager

What you can bring to the role: 

• Be physically fit and active.
• Have a positive attitude, not afraid to get stuck in and at times a little dirty.
• Ability to get to and from work in Port Melbourne, public transport routes are nearby.
• Weekend work is required.
• Full training provided on the job.
