We are currently seeking experienced Housekeeping Attendants at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for the high standard of cleanliness and maintenance of public areas in the Casino & Hotel front and back of house areas.

Additional duties include:

• Cleaning duties including, but not limited to, maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, bathroom cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, and rubbish removal.
• Respond promptly to requests for any urgent cleaning tasks in public areas.

The Room Attendant is responsible for the high standard of cleaning and servicing of guest suites for new arrivals within the allocated time frame.

Additional duties include:

• Reviewing daily inventory of rooms, arrivals, departures, and supplies required to complete rooms.
• Checking guest occupancy and verifying suites’ that have been vacated.
• Cleaning of hotel suites including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linen, cleaning bathroom, kitchen, and balcony.

Criteria

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning preferred.
• Previous experience in a 4-5 star hotel environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment such as: floor polishers, vacuum cleaners etc..
• Eye for detail with the ability to identify and report equipment that needs servicing or repair.
• Familiar with the use of cleaning and housekeeping  maintenance equipment.
• Team player who displays outstanding customer service skills.
• An understanding of the correct procedure for the storage and usage of chemicals.
• Hard working and motivated to complete tasks.
• Ability to accommodate flexibility with shifts and work unsupervised.
