About the Role
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring that all spaces are neat, sanitised, and well-stocked. Your role will involve a mix of daily, weekly, and scheduled cleaning tasks, requiring efficiency, consistency, and attention to detail.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Turning on background music in designated areas.
- Preparing, maintaining, and cleaning coffee machines, including replenishing water and milk levels.
- Maintaining the outdoor terrace by adjusting umbrellas, sanitising tables and chairs, and arranging furniture.
- Raising blinds in common areas to allow natural light.
- Organising and tidying the community lounge, including arranging furniture and storing loose items.
- Collecting, distributing, and washing dirty glassware, crockery, and cutlery in all kitchens.
- Restocking kitchen consumables and refreshing all bathrooms.
- Wiping and sanitising kitchen appliances and hard surfaces.
- Emptying all bins in common areas, kitchens, and bathrooms.
- Spot vacuuming and mopping the floors in all kitchen and bathroom areas.
- Maintaining clean and stocked printing areas.
- Resetting and tidying all meeting rooms, ensuring surfaces, whiteboards, and blackboards are clean and supplies are replenished.
Scheduled Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Weekly: Notify management of required orders, assist with weekly community events, deep clean fridges and freezers.
- Fortnightly: Clean inside kitchen cabinets, cutlery trays, and dishwasher sills.
- Monthly: Run deep-clean cycles on dishwashers.
- Every Two Months: Conduct deep cleaning of pantry and furniture storeroom.
- Every Three Months: Clean and maintain the Zip Tap and Ice Machine filters.
Shift Routines
Morning (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM):
- Set up common areas, restock supplies, clean and organise kitchens and bathrooms.
Afternoon (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM):
- Focus on post-lunch cleaning, replenishment, surface sanitisation, and assisting in event setups.
Evening (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM):
- Conduct final cleaning, reset meeting rooms, deep-clean coffee machines, and secure outdoor furniture.
Who you are
- Experienced in housekeeping or commercial cleaning (hospitality or corporate experience is a plus).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and efficiency in task management.
- Able to work independently while maintaining high standards.
- Friendly, reliable, and committed to creating a clean and welcoming environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to report maintenance or stock issues promptly.
- Basic knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning techniques.
- Must be available to work on a rotating roster Monday to Friday, between 7 AM and 7 PM.
