Cairns Queenslander Hotel and Apartments are an established 4-star accommodation hotel located in Cairns North, currently looking for an experienced front office superstar to join our friendly team.
While offering a stable roster, the successful applicant must be flexible to work morning and afternoon shifts, including weekends and public holidays as needed. In this position there is an option of a permanent part time role after a successful trial period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and enquiries promptly and efficiently
- Processing reservations including groups, check-ins, and check-outs
- Completing general reception duties with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, cash handling
- Liaising with management, housekeeping and maintenance department
- Maintaining reception cleanliness
About You:
- Strong, authentic customer service with a smile
- Able to handle busy environment, prioritise and complete tasks on hand promptly
- Strong computer literacy and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Experience with RoomMaster or similar hotel reservation system
- Ability to work unsupervised after full training, good problem-solving skills
- Can-do attitude
- Locally based Cairns resident
