About Pyramid Residential Care Centre:

Pyramid Residential Care Centre is a charitable organisation developed by community, for the benefit of community. As a not-for-profit organisation, our facility financially depends on its own fundraising activities, residents’ contributions and Commonwealth Government subsidies.

The Centre is a custom designed and built facility, offering 83 high care needs beds for residents. Located 20 minutes south of Cairns in Gordonvale.

PRCC has recently expanded our residential care accommodation at the Centre with significant investment being made into our facility’s infrastructure, our team and the quality of our service. It is a very exciting and challenging time to be involved!

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Domestic Services Attendant to deliver high-quality cleaning and laundry services across the facility. You will ensure all resident rooms, communal areas and laundry are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, staff areas and public spaces
• Sort, wash, dry, iron, fold and distribute residents’ personal clothing and facility linen
• Maintain laundry and cleaning equipment and ensure safe use of chemicals
• Restock supplies and report maintenance or resident concerns where required
• Ensure all duties are completed in line with schedules and organisational standards

What You’ll Need:

• +6 months experience in cleaning and/or laundry, ideally in aged care
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and infection control practices
• Experience with industrial laundry equipment preferred
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Current Police Check
• Willingness to complete mandatory annual training
