About the role

Join the team at Training Four Paws PTY LTD’ as a Dog Walker in our Southern Gold Coast location. This is a subcontractor role, providing you with the flexibility to shape your own schedule and work-life balance.

What you’ll be doing

• Taking local dogs on daily walks, providing them with exercise and socialisation
• Ensuring the dogs are comfortable and happy throughout the walk
• Reporting any concerns or changes in the dogs’ behaviour to our head trainer
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for the dogs in your care
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of the dogs
• Ensuring dogs are safely picked up and returned home after their walk

What we’re looking for

• Experience handling and caring for dogs, with a genuine passion for animal welfare
• Confident handling dogs of all breeds and sizes
• Excellent communication skills to build trust with both the dogs and their owners
• Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with various dog temperaments
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work autonomously
• Valid manual driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation
• Fit and healthy
• Someone who enjoys the outside and can cope working in the heat or the rain (we only cancel walks in extreme weather conditions)
• ABN holder
• Clean police record
