Rival Brothers is expanding! We’re launching a new cafe site inside a major retailer distribution centre at Gepps Cross – and we’re looking for passionate, reliable team members to help us bring great coffee and fresh food to life.

Location: Gepps Cross SA

Commencement: January 2026

Employment Type: Casual with part time and full-time roles available

Chef/Cook (38 hours/week)

We are seeking one-two talented and passionate Cooks/Chefs to lead our food service with confidence and care. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious dishes and grab and go options, while maintaining high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment will contribute to the success of our establishment.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Preparing fresh, simple cafe style meals and grab and go options
• Maintaining food safety hygiene standards
• Supporting daily operations including taking and running orders
• Supporting stock control and inventory management

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a cafe, cafeteria or fast-paced kitchen
• Commercial Cookery qualification desirable but not mandatory
• Food Safety Certification (or willingness to complete)
• Demonstrated knowledge of cost management to maximize efficiency and profitability
• Ability to thrive under pressure during busy periods, displaying a sense of urgency and maintaining cleanliness and organisation.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including Saturdays.

Barista All Rounders – Multiple Roles (20 – 38 hours/week)

We’re also hiring multiple Barista All Rounder roles to join the front of house team. You’ll be the face of our cafe, crafting great coffee, engaging with customers and keeping service smooth.

Your role will include:

• Making coffee and other beverages to a high standard
• Providing friendly efficient customer service
• Contributing to food prep, cleaning and general cafe duties
• Completing opening and end of day duties, including cleaning of coffee equipment.

What we’re looking for:

• Barista experience preferred, but training available
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine love for coffee and hospitality
• Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to complete)
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including Saturdays.

We’re open to Junior Cafe Staff joining the team. While juniors do not require experience, a great personality and willingness to learn on the job is essential.
