About the Role
Reporting to the Community Manager and / or Care Manager, our cleaners provide quality cleaning services which contribute to a safe, clean environment for residents and employees. This is a vital role within the Seasons Living Sinnamon Park community to ensure excellent presentation standards and the health and happiness of our residents.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide cleaning services according to established cleaning schedules and duties lists.
- Mopping and vacuuming floors, damp dusting, waste management, restocking of supplies and assisting with laundry practices as required.
- Safe storage and use of cleaning agents, ensuring correct cleaning agents used in correct quantities for each task.
- Ensure standards of hygiene are maintained and risk of contamination is minimised under the infection control program.
- Contribute to a safe environment when undertaking duties ensuring equipment is not obscuring exits and passageways.
- Ensure all common community areas (e.g. reception, dining room, hallways etc) are kept neat, tidy and clean at all times.
Top Skills
- Demonstrated high quality previous cleaning experience.
- Understanding of cross contamination risks and importance of hygiene when cleaning for people with low immunity conditions.
- Good working knowledge of WHS requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated understanding of the requirements of Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Interest in ongoing personal and professional development.
- Flexibility with hours when workload demands.
Requirements
- Due to the 24/7 nature of the business, it is reasonable to expect that Seasons employees may be requested to work on a public holiday. Where an employee has been allocated a public holiday to work, this is a request, not a requirement.
- Experience in an operational cleaning role.
- Unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Current national criminal check.
