About the role

We are seeking Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team at our client’s aged care facility in Angle Park, SA

–          Morning Shifts 6.30am-2.30pm- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

–          Afternoon Shifts 3.00pm-7.30pm- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday

*The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one*
Skills and experience

• Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary.
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.
• Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
• The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing meal service to elderly residents
• Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up.
• Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
• Washing dishes and plating of meals
• Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
• Function set up and clear down.
• Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks.
• Food and beverage service
