Love great customer service? Enjoy a fast-paced retail environment? The Robina Pavilion is one of the Gold Coast’s most recognised hospitality venues, and our retail arm, The Liquor Barn, is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Bottle Shop Attendant to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, takes pride in presentation, and is confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Shortlisting will commence immediately.
About the Role
Reporting to the Bottle Shop Manager or Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of The Liquor Barn. This is a hands-on position that combines customer service, stock management, and operational responsibility, including the ability to work unsupervised during allocated shifts.
Positions are available across full-time, part-time and casual employment, with flexibility for additional hours where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver memorable customer experiences through friendly service, product knowledge and recommendations
- Operate the Liquor Barn independently during allocated shifts
- Serve customers in a professional, efficient and responsible manner
- Maintain stock levels, restock shelves and ensure accurate pricing and ticketing
- Merchandise displays, promotions and seasonal specials
- Stay up to date with new products, promotions and industry trends
- Pack and prepare home deliveries
- Operate EFTPOS and cash registers
- Handle cash, reconcile transactions and complete end-of-shift takings
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation, including fridges and storage areas
- Support the broader operational needs of Robina Pavilion when required
Customer Service & Teamwork
- Ensure all customers feel welcome, valued and well looked after
- Promote Robina Pavilion and Liquor Barn services where appropriate
- Work closely with management and team members to keep operations running smoothly
- Communicate clearly, respectfully and professionally with customers and colleagues
About You
- Previous experience in a bottle shop or liquor retail environment is advantageous, but not essential
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, can-do attitude
- Confident working with limited supervision
- Reliable, well presented and professionally groomed
- Willingness to learn and build product knowledge
- Flexible availability, including weekends and peak trading periods
- Forklift licence preferred
