Soul Origin is coming to Cairns Central Shopping Centre, and we’re seeking enthusiastic and motivated team members to join us! We have multiple positions for Baristas, Kitchen Hands and Customer Service Superstars!

BARISTAS:

Do you have a passion for coffee? Thrive in a fast-paced environment? And love engaging with customers? Then this role is for you! As a Soul Origin Barista, you’ll have access to the highest quality Specialty Coffee and work with the best brewing equipment to create our delicious coffee beverages. To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

• A minimum of 6 months of Barista experience
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required
• A positive attitude and confidence to engage with customers
• Ability to work as a team – when you’re not making delicious coffee, you’ll be completing general duties such as serving salads and soups
• An understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

KITCHEN HANDS:

Do you love working with fresh ingredients to make delicious, well-presented food? Do you enjoy starting and finishing work early? Then the Back of House role is for you! To be successful, you’ll have:

• Experience using commercial-grade knives
• Proven ability to follow detailed make-guides and recipes
• Strong work ethic and flexibility to work alone or as part of a small team
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Preferred: A minimum of 6 months of food handling experience.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Do you love making others smile? Are you outgoing and confident? Will you wear the Soul Origin uniform with pride? Then this is the role is for you! To be successful, you’ll have:

• An approachable demeanour and good communication skills
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required
• Good attention to detail and cash-handling skills
• An understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• A flexible approach to work – at Soul Origin, customer service goes beyond serving customers! You’ll also be able to help with stock take, opening / closing the store, cleaning and preparing basic food items.
• Preferred: A minimum of 6 months of fast food or restaurant experience
