IGA Mosman Fresh is a boutique IGA/Cafe open every day of the year from 6am to 10pm with Cafe open until 3pm. We are passionate about what we do and as a team we aim to provide the best shopping experience to our customers.

We are seeking to someone who has a real passion for food & coffee, thrives on ensuring that high standards are met and is customer service orientated to continue to build on our loyal customer following.

Our takeaway only Café is essentially a one-person operation with assistance from others and requires the successful candidate to have a high level of autonomy and initiative.

We use locally roasted Rubra Coffee, a Dalla Corte Evo2 3 group espresso machine and an auto grinder.

This will be a dual role. Some shifts will be Barista focused, and some shifts will be more Deli/Cafe focused working on the food preparation and service side.

The right candidate must:

• Have experience in a high-volume café and in food preparation and presentation
• Be able to liaise with suppliers and place orders
• Be able to multi-task between coffee, register service and assist deli with food prep
• Be well-organised and clean
• Be independent or a team player as the role requires
• Have an outgoing and friendly personality
• Have a high food safety hygiene standard
• Be available to work a mix of weekdays/weekends

Tasks & responsibilities

• You will be responsible for opening and closing, cash handling, store presentation and maintenance of the espresso machine and grinder.
• Daily operations of our Deli, Specialty Cheese and Instore Bakery Departments
• Baking of bread, bread rolls & pastries
• Making sandwiches, rolls, paninis & fresh salads
• Cooking and preparation of hotbox daily meal solution
• Preparation of canteen meals
• Cutting, wrapping and merchandising Specialty Cheese fridge
• Supplier ordering & liaison.
• Ensuring Departments compliance with Food Safety requirements
• Leading, guiding, nurturing & developing team members to ensure quality & consistency of offer.

2 years prior experience in a similar role is essential.
