Barista at Fox Coffee

Established in 2016 in Geebung, we are local Brisbane roasters with a passion for delivering high quality, delicious coffee, day in and day out – now expanding to a Bakery! With a family approach that genuinely prioritises service, community, and our relationships. Our aim is to improve the everyday with excellent coffee: simple brews without the pomp.

The Role:

We are looking for baristas with a passion for coffee and love a little bit of a challenge. Our Espresso Bar is super high volume, so successful baristas will need to be energetic, proactive, well-organised and have the ability to learn fast. Experience is preferred but lots of training will be provided. Get to work with 3 blends as well as rotating single origins across different brew methods.

This role offers the opportunity to:

• Work with specialty coffee at a Roastery
• Get to work dialing in 5 grinders, as well as rotating single origins across different brew methods
• Work with state-of-the-art coffee equipment including a La Marzocco PB Linea, Markibar grinders, Tone Swiss and Ubermilk.
• Work closely with our Roastery, Kitchen and Bakery team to deliver a fantastic overall product for our customers

You’ll be perfect for this role if you have/are:

• A passion for Specialty Coffee and hospitality
• Fast learner, ability to work under pressure during the really busy spots
• 3+ years of barista experience
• Barista skills including latte art, filter brewing, dialling in, trouble-shooting etc.
• A strong work ethic with a customer focused and positive attitude
• The ability to work 15 – 30 hours a week, WEEKEND AVAILABILITY ESSENTIAL.
• Willingness to do all the jobs. Everyone at Fox is dedicated to the customer experience (which includes cleaning the toilets, till shifts and dishes at times).

15-30 hours P/W – Barista $35 p/h weekdays, $40 Saturdays and $43 Sundays

(above wage listed for 20+ years of age as example, public holiday rates extra).

This role is listed as casual, but we’re also open to Permanent Part Time roles for the right candidate.
