Christmas in the City – Martin Place
Sydney’s largest Christmas tree will delight audiences and brighten up Martin Place from 23 November to 1 January.
Enjoy a kaleidoscope of colours and decorative lights every 15 minutes from 7pm to midnight.
Sing along with choirs at the Martin Place tree every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 28 November to 22 December from 6pm to 8.30pm.
The tallest Christmas tree in NSW is decorated with more than 110,000 LED lights, a 3.4-metre colour-changing star and 330 specially created glossy baubles.
The tree’s 800 branches are dressed with 15,000 flowers representing 9 different kinds of Australian flowers: banksia, waratah, bottlebrush, wattle, eucalyptus gum flower, kangaroo paw, flannel flower, pink wax flower and white wax flower.
And don’t’ forget to treat yourself to a special Christmas sweet at the GPO Dessert Bar. The dessert bar offers a range of gelato, homemade sweets, cakes, coffee, cold beverages and savoury options, and casual seating with a view of the tree
