Waitperson – Bedarra Island Resort

Bedarra Island Resort is an all-inclusive barefoot luxury island resort located in tropical North Queensland situated2 hours drive south of Cairns near Mission Beach, on the Great Barrier Reef.

With only twelve guest villas we cater to a maximum of 24 guests at any time, offering guests a private and personalised island experience like no other.

We are seeking an experienced, mature and professional waitperson to join our small and friendly team. This is an amazing opportunity to work and live at a world-class island resort and showcase your personality and your flair for interacting with guests.

The ideal candidate will have many years of experience in fine dining and/or high-end resorts and a strong knowledge of local and imported wines and cuisine.

The successful candidate must be attentive to guest needs while displaying a natural and relaxed style of service, and at all times demonstrating a positive attitude. You will be regularly communicating and building a genuine rapport with guests.

We offer a supportive workplace culture, a small and professional team of colleagues and a salary package inclusive of single-share accommodation on the island.

The island offers swimming, snorkelling, fishing, walking, sea kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and boating for you to enjoy on your rostered days off, however being an island location, we are seeking candidates who understand the characteristics of living and working in remote and isolated environment.

The role is a full-time position, with a five-day-on, two-day-off roster.
