Two front of house positions is available for immediate start in one of Melbourne’s inner-city laneway cafes.
Our cafe is open from 7am until 3-4pm every day. We serve Melbourne style breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee, drinks and cocktails and our guests consist mostly of visitors to Melbourne and local office workers. We seat 45 inside and out. We are situated just outside one of Melbourne’s iconic tourist destinations.
The part-time role is working between 15-25 hours per week across a 7-day roster. Penalty rates apply. The ideal candidate will have a calm and welcoming personality, be able to function well within a team, be able to handle both busy and quieter periods and have some experience working within customer service hospitality roles.
The full-time role is working 38hours per week with overtime loading (if it applies). This candidate will have at least 9-18months of experience in either cafe supervision or is ready to step into this type of role based on prior experience. Coffee making experience is a must for this role and this candidate must have proven experience with the machine. Low volume experience is fine. This role requires a higher level of responsibility, as supervision of other staff members and handling customer needs are necessary for this position.
