Factory hand position with the opportunity to be trained as a commercial cook. We are looking for a long term stable employee to join a solid family business operating since 1981.

• Mon-Friday 7.30am -3.30pm workdays. (no weekend work)
• IMMEDIATE START preferred.
• Casual role 5 days a week with a view to moving to full time for the right candidate.
• Training provided

We are a family business with 15 staff with a confectionery commercial kitchen, cooking large batches of marshmallows, peanut brittle and fudge etc. We are currently experiencing a lot of growth and a looking for energetic team members to help grow the business into a bigger more efficient operation.

No factory or commercial kitchen experience is required but the following is:

1. punctual and reliable
2. Strong and fit with the loading of heavy 25kg sugar bags
3. Good English to fill out daily production sheets and procedures
4. Ability to work independently and meet production timeframes
5. Able to undertake general cleaning and maintenance tasks related to a commercial kitchen

We see this role as a good fit for anyone looking for reliable work with a view to a long term job. Also open to inexperienced school leavers looking to jump into the workforce.
