After Hours Caretaker/ All-rounder

We are looking for a highly motivated reliable person for Night/weekend Caretaker role at River Gardens Caravan Park Carrara QLD

About the role:

The Night Caretaker is responsible for all caravan operations overnight, focusing on

guest safety and security, and unexpected maintenance issues.

Rostered duty 5 days per week from5.00pm to 9.00pm and on call from 9.00pm until a handover with a morning shift at 8.00am or rostered time. Extra hours may be given in reception as required or in maintenance.

Required to solve all issues that arise, ranging from after-hours guest check-in to replacing a light bulb guest’s bathroom. You will be required to secure the property’s facilities including the swimming pools, laundries, and camp kitchen. You will also have the night phone when receptions close and will deal with any issues occurring through the night. E.g., noisy guests, and late-night maintenance issues.

The volume of call-outs varies. Sometimes maybe three in a night, or you may not receive a call for a few days.

Heart of the role:

• Between 5pm to 9pm daily, provide an on-site presence within the caravan park
• Attend to call-outs (check-ins, guests locked out, room moves and unexpected maintenance issues etc after hours).
• Assist with Night-time guest activities
• Evening housekeeping and security checks when required- ensure all areas are clean and secure.
• Handling any after-hour (9pm –8am) emergencies
• Maintain appropriate records

• A proven track record of punctuality and reliability
• Experience within a building and caretaker role is preferred, but not essential
• A positive and proactive attitude
• Experienced conflict resolution skills.
• High level of reliability and ability to handle a high level of responsibility
• High level of work health and safety practices
