Ekka – RACQ Royal Queensland Show
The Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) is Queensland's largest and most beloved annual event, attracting an average of 400,000 people. Organized by the RNA and held at the Brisbane Showgrounds, where it all began, Ekka is the festival that brings together the countryside and the city in a grand celebration of agriculture.
There you'll find over 21,000 competitors battling it out, from woodchopping to giant vegetables. And that's not all—there are over 10,000 animals too, from beef cattle to cats and dogs. But wait, there's more! Top-notch live music, award-winning food and wine, amusement park rides, souvenir stalls, family shopping, educational activities, and a whole lot more.
This festival, with its rich traditions of both rural and urban life, runs for 9 days from August 10 to August 18, 2024. And on August 14, it's People’s Day, a local holiday to enjoy Ekka without a worry in the world!
So come on down and enjoy this guaranteed fun-filled extravaganza from start to finish!
